The Elm City Girls' Choir Community
Siblings and Ages of Said Siblings: 2 brothers (10 and 14) and a sister (7)
Were/are any of them in choir? Sarah wanted to be, but I don't think my mom would let her at this point
How many years have you been in choir, and in which ones? I was in ECGC for 6 years. 1 in Junior, 2 in Academy, 1 in Advanced, and 2 in Senior
Are you currently/have you ever been a TA? for which UGC? I was a TA for Milford my last two years of choir
Are you/have you ever been a student conductor? no... I was going to try to do it my senior year.
section leader? no.
lead chorister? no.
What part do you sing/have sung in past years? My first 2 years, I sang 2nd Soprano (but we don't talk about that. mmkay? ;D). Then I got switched to 1st Alto and my life began.
What's your favorite song we've done this year thus far? I loved Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day. And when Senior sang Time in a Bottle at that first concert in Edgerton Park. =)
What's your favorite choir song EVER? Hmm. Maybe A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square. Or In Remembrance. I tend to love a lot of the slow, pretty, melodic ones. And all the a capella stuff. And all the Bulgarian, Village Harmony-ish ones.
What's your favorite non-choir song? Oh man. Anything Broadway. Or Simon and Garfunkel stuff... Or.. um. I don't know. haha.
What's your favorite thing about choir? The amazing friends I made, the exposure to so many great choral pieces, the level of professionalism, being able to sing with so many talented people on a weekly basis, perfect unisons, having somewhere where I could be myself and know that everyone was also being themselves... the list goes on and on.
